Legacy Lives On

GanleyYachts Ltd offers a collection of stock steel and timber designs from the drawing board of the late Denis Ganley.

A leading New Zealand yacht designer, Denis specialised in steel yachts tailored for both amateur and professional builders. His focus on steel construction stemmed from a commitment to offshore and demanding coastal cruising, where strength and safety are paramount. Today, more than 1,000 of his designs are either sailing or under construction worldwide.
Over a career spanning 35 years, Denis earned wide recognition for his work. Notably, he won the 1986 Steel Award for Best Consumer Product with the Pacemaker 40, the first yacht design ever to receive this honour. Many of his yachts have completed remarkable offshore passages and achieved success in regattas and other sailing events.

Denis’ legacy lives on through his designs and his daughter, Denise, who is available to assist with any enquiries.
